Hey everyone.
I have one of those laptop tables that has the pen holder, cup holder and the bit for the mouse but it takes up quite a lot of room on my bed so I'm looking for something a bit smaller.
Ideally I'd like it to fit on my lap and my laptop has a bit of a overheating problem albeit it doesn't cause it to turn off or anything so ideally would like something that could cool it down.
I have a Sony Vaio so I have vents in the sides, but also underneath and I usually use the laptop in bed, which I think isn't doing it any good as the air can't circulate underneath.:o
I've already ordered a can of compressed air to clean the vents but ideally would like a long term solution.:o
Thank you in advance.

I use a piece of hardboard just a little bit bigger than the laptop:
- It's free (a cut-off)
- Keeps the laptop cool as it doesn't restrict air flow.
- Stops the vents getting bunged up with fluff from cushions trousers etc.
- Stops direct heat from the laptop as the laptop sucks cool air from underneath and vents to the side.

I use one of those tea trays with padding on the bottom which is only slightly larger than my laptop.0

I use a large, flat, rectangular plastic cheese grater under my netbook.

Get a wireless keyboard & mouse , put lappy on a table, it is not meant for the lap, nor bed/carpet/sofa.... you have other things for that. Sorry to hear that honey but can you not use one of those over bed tables , I wasn't trying to poke fun either, laptops / computers produce heat and need venting, otherwise they will shut down at the least.:o4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Back again with another suggestion , an ordinary tray will help and a cooling rack/oven rack that fits the lappy and tray will help.4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex .
