DLA - when filling in extra information question 61

Apologies for yet another question!

What kind of extra information can I put in question 61? I have already done a diary for a week.

Anything that you think bears on your claim that you have not covered.
The first few paragraphs of your novel, poetry, or a screenplay!

A quick outline of how your condition affects you, that is more 'fleshed out' than the answers to each individual question.

It might for example say how your life has changed since you became disabled, if you've lost contact with friends, the effect on your personal life, day-day difficulties, ...

I was thinking I would be able to expand on each question in a kind of essay style thing and add that in? Very hard to think what is too much and what isn't enough really when they leave these things open ended to each persons interpretation.

I haven't written the novel that everyone has inside them yet unfortunately ;)

Try to cover the extra bits in as much, but not too much detail. The exact amount is a hard balance - though remember you can always attach more.

Get someone to read a draft, if you can.

Thinking of my recent ESA reapplication, I think I hit 6000 words, though a good thousand of those were copy/paste from upper tribunal decisions.

Was this too much - who knows!

    Sorry me again :D

Doing my extra info part now, have expanded where I can on the points raised on the form, mostly due to my shocking wiriting tbh to make sure they understand!

I know that they aren't interested in housework n stuff as they don't ask about it, but would it be fair to include things like having to portion up houseowrk tasks into manageable chunks and resting periods between and things I have to leave for others as I am unable to physicall ydo them - to give them a picture of my day?

I have till Saturday before the whole thing needs to go in the post

You should include anything and everything that you think is needed to draw a full picture of your disability.
Some of this will not be quite relevant to the specific tests of DLA, but it will help the decision maker see what your whole condition is like, and they may consider some things you do not as helping your case.

Well that's my form in the post, not expecting too much tbh!

Ended up including 7 sheets of extra info, 3 sheets of diary.

    hello me again :)

Letter from DLA today saying they are seeking a report from my physio.

Is this a little strange? I thought they'd contact GP or my neurosurgeon, not the physio?

The ways of the decisionmaker are strange.
