Where do I find Halifax branch based cash ISA rates?

In 1997 I led a team of 8 in a small inner-city bank branch. My feeling is that people will passbooks have never been encouraged to move to postal or telephone paying accounts, so I remain sceptical.
In the space of 4 weeks we'd convinced over 1,000 customers to move from low paying passbook accounts to higher paying card accounts.
There was no bonus or incentive for doing this. The main drive on my part was to reduce queues by shifting customers to ATMs. The main drive from my team was to give the customers a better rate of interest.
There's little doubt that banks profit from customer inertia. But you can write to people. Tell people face to face. Ring them up. If they love their passbook more than they care about their interest rate they'll stick with the book.
I'm not aware of any bank or building society that actively encourages staff to leave customer funds in poor paying accounts.0
