Electric Heating Costs

Hi all! I'm looking at moving if I get a job I've applied for and where my partner and I would be moving too doesn't have gas at all and the only heating options are: electric, oil, LPG or solid fuel (coal or peat).

We've seen a recently refurbished house which has all electric heating ('Total Control' we were told) and shedloads of insulation - external and internal walls, underfloor, loft but, as neither of us has ever had electric heating, we've got a few question!

1. How expensive is it to run (house is a 3-bed bungalow)?
2. Does it feel like 'normal' central heating?
3. How quick does it warm the house?

We would be looking to get solar hot water heating to help reduce costs and, if affordable, a wind turbine to help too.

Thanks, L
