i recently had to re-install all my xp and from then onwards there was no sound and no microphone icon on the screen.i also cant find microsoft word/excel.
i then used windows update to upgrade to to xp2 and now all my fonts and images are blurred.
tried playing around with all the dislay settings/resolutions and although i can move the resolution setting slider it always revert back to the 600x480(4 bits) all the images look big and blurred.
any help out there ?

Try downloading video and sound drivers from the manufacturers website.
as well as anything else with question marks in
start, run, devmgmt.msc
you will have to reinstall office as wellEver get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
you need to install all the drivers for the motherboard, graphics card and sound card (if you have a seperate one).0

thanks guys.i think i have sorted the sound bit out but not yet the screen resolution.
not sure about the how to install the graphics.do i need to buyanother? because i remember they all working well before.are you thinking what iam thinking :T0 -
No, you need to install the drivers for the card you have although in all the info you have provided above the one thing I can't see is a graphics card. Do what Albertross suggested above
start, run, devmgmt.msc
then look for an entry called display adapters, expand that and tell us what it syas then we can tell you where to look for drivers. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
thanks scarab
what it says is starfighter agp
please helpare you thinking what iam thinking :T0 -
