Hi,
I am looking to get a laptop for general home use. My husband also uses it for viewing commercial drawings sent via email so I am looking for a big screen.
Had a look through some posts on here and the Dell refub site looks a good option.
I have looked and there and they have this one
http://outlet.euro.dell.com/Online/SecondaryInventorySearch.aspx?rn=1107&SC=lowToHigh&c=uk&cs=ukdfh1&l=en&s=dfh
They are offering free delivery at the moment too.
For the money can anyone comment if this is a good buy?
Thanks, Nikki

your link doesn't work - but if it was a good deal it might mean that someone has bought it already!! the outlet seems pretty good at the moment for value so if you see one you want don't dwell too long on it!This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I can not see the cheaper one. The one I have posted is the cheapest of the 17inch they have, how did you get to see that one?
Cheers for all your help, Nikki0 -
lol, that one has gone now! it was the only xps l701x listed but now there is only a more expensive one listed, just need to keep the eyes on the site...
do you really want a 17" screen? there's usually a few nice 15" xps's on thereThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
The 17 inch would be ideal but not essential. If we were not getting the 17 inch the only use would be basic home like loading photos, videos, writting letters, internet surfing. No gaming. What would you suggest for the above? The cheapest?0

got the 701 in my basket, expires in 15 mins. Says it has a scratch and a dent. Do you know what the saving is on this from getting a new one?
Will be looking myself but against the clock if you have a rough idea???
Cheers, Nikki0 -
Purchsed the 701 model so many thanks for your help as that one cost 445.73 inc vat and was going to pay 479 for one that did not suit my needs as well so many thank for that as well.
I love this site and the people on it!!!!0 -
sorry was away having lunch - i'm sure the 701 will be good for you - i think it's maybe just a slightly older model than the 702 so hard to get the retail price as such but it gets a good write up http://www.trustedreviews.com/Dell-XPS-17--L701X-_Laptop_review and you will have a full dell warranty if there are any issuesThis is a system account and does not represent a real person.
