Stain removers can be bought in most large supermarkets or somewhere like wilkinsons...stain devils is one brand but there are other similar ones...another thought I have just had is if you have time could you take it to a local dry cleaners for their advice...they probably wouldnt be able to clean it in the timescales but they may be able to suggest a solution you could use
If it were on a white tshirt I would suggest using a net curtain whitener solution or something like oxy stain remover but without seeing the fabric and with it being such an important dress to you its best to air on the side of caution with too many suggestions as it could end up creating a bigger white patch that doesnt match the rest of the dress.
Hers a link to the stain devils website...it will give you an idea of what to look for...usually in the houshold cleaning sections or sometimes in the haberdashary if they have one

Your dress is beautiful!!! I'm sure it will look just lovely, and as it's at the back it wont matter what fix you do if you can't get it "perfect" - just imagine how mucky it will be by the end of the day!!
My very first instinct was to get a fabric pen and to add a leaf. I would see if you could practice on the inside of the sleeve. If you look at the other side of the dress that doesn't have the mark on, you can see some lovely simple small leaves that would be very easy to copy. If you're not very arty you could ask a friend to help you.
In fact what I would do would be to get tracing paper, copy a couple of leaves from the other side, and trace it over onto your side of the dress - that way the shape of the leaves would look perfect. A fabric paint pen and you're good to go!! No one would ever know

If I were you I would take it to a dressmaker and have it embroidered. Would take minutes to do with an embroidery machine. Fabric pen could be disastrous and make it look worse. I know you only have 3 days but if you have somewhere near you Im sure they could do it quickly.0

I would have is embroidered the only thing is there isn't any other embroidery on the dress and I'm worried it would draw emphasis further to the fact it's hiding something. Thanks for the idea thoughSealed Pot Challenge Member 1216 -

I thought the rest of the patterns were embroidered too. Whoops. Sorry.
If you are going down the fabric pen route would it maybe be better to draw another line like the ones beside it rather than a flower/leaf (unless you are good at drawing. Im just imagining the mess I would make on it!!!) lol0 -
It's OK. I did too; on the picture it looked like that. But it's printed

The only problems I have now is the green thread as I seem to have managed to get a lot of the ink out.....it seems to be woven into the actual fabric itself...makes sense to why they tried to cover it!!Sealed Pot Challenge Member 1216 -

I have black heat transfer vinyl (normal and velvet) and a vinyl cutter if you wanted me to cut a design that looks the same as the pattern on your dress (I would need a pdf close up image of it). You would have to iron it on very carefully though so as not to burn it!
That can happen sometimes. I have loads of fabric where there are tiny threads of different colours in it. It happens in the weave process.
If you have got the stain out, maybe you would be best leaving it. Im sure no-one will know. (or you could get white fabric paint and just paint over the thread)0 -
Looking at the dress, it seems that adding something extra might distort the symetry and pattern of the dress. I can see where the stain is, is right next to where the stems of two leaves are coming out...could you just add another stem, ensuring it goes over the stain?"More people would learn from their mistakes if they weren't so busy denying them." - Harold J. Is there anyway to snip a bit of white from the inside of the hem and stitch it over the mark? Might sound awful but would be less obvious than the green I think.
Otherwise, bleach on a cotton bud and carefully applied! Eeek.
Lovely dress, BTW. xIf you have nothing constructive to say just move along.0
