Does anyone else here live in Bath? Last year (and I'm sure earlier this year) my OH and I went to loooooaaads of free screenings at the Bath Odeon, but recently Bath hasn't been on the venue list AT ALL! I emailed seefilmfirst and Bath Odeon, and both just told me it was up to the promoter where they chose to have screenings. The promoter being Heat magazine or tiscali etc I guess. It's so annoying as I don't have a car, so can't get to any other venues, and I don't know why they've suddenly decided not to have screenings in Bath - most of the ones I went to were in tiny (30-40) people screens, and every seat was full. Some ended up in the huge screens, and yes they weren't at all full, but I still think there was a good turn-out for most. Added to this that my OH keeps pestering that he wants to see Transformers everytime an ad comes on TV, and I know there's all these free screenings out there, just not in Bath. It's so frustrating!!0

I have resisted the urge to post about this a few times but thought I had vent out my frustration this time
I wish people would stop posting non-ticket posts in the Free Cinema Tickets Board. More than that, I wish that people would not post asking people to stop posting non-ticket posts IN THE free Cinema Tickets Board. I think this subject has been thrashed out on that board several times and people should just stop saying it anymore. If anyone does post an irrelevant item, the board moderator should clean it up and send a direct pm to the offendor reminding the rules. Repeat offendors should be banned from posting on the board. Constant posts by members reminding others of the rules just leads to more discussion and clutter.
Sorry if this offends anyone but I am just offering my opinion and venting my frustration

....aaaaaaand keep an eye on the free cinema tickets thread (subscribing to it will, however, drive you nuts) because you gotta be quick off the mark to score tickets!:p
I'm gutted I missed Transformers(not to mention Hairspray/Superbad/Firehouse Dog/Waitress/Surfs Up/Hoax/etc/etc/etc ...but particularly sad about Transformers since it was excellent from what everyones said so far.
Ah, difficult to fork out 11.50 for a movie when we're used to getting them for free on here:j:j Please blow me a kiss if I have helped you.:j :j

PM'ing idea is great! :TWhat do they do on other threads, this must be a common problem?
Banning people? Bit extreme, afterall I reckon that 9/10 people who're putting their posts in the wrong place are genuinely trying to be helpful, they're just putting the info in the wrong place is all. I can understand it being real easy to hit 'reply' or 'quote' instead of coming here, even if you've been warned already, you could be a right goldfishbrain like me & have forgotten! I wish it didn't cause so much stress, we're all on here 2 save £, not to fight.I hope I didn't brain my damage...

Totally agree AngelUndercover, it's horrible when you have to splash the cash! I've missed a lot of these too.
Just a tip, keep an eye on the Metro's Renault Preview Screenings under the 'Gimme' comp page (not sure if this link will be up to date but here it is anyway:
http://www.metro.co.uk/gimme/article.html?in_article_id=56752&in_page_id=4) ,discovered it a couple of weeks ago cos they were giving away tickets for Transformers/Simpsons. (would've posted it but comp had closed that day!) I won a couple of tickets but they weren't specific to those screenings as I thought they'd be - they can be used in any Odeon/UCI in the UK until Dec. Chuffed! :jI'd much rather have these than ones specific to a film esp as it saves me trekking into town. So maybe worth checking that site every month & u could be seeing anything you want!
+ I didn't have to test drive a Renault!I hope I didn't brain my damage...
