Help with first time working tax credit claim

I've never claimed benefits of any sort before (apart from family allowance when mychildren were little) so recently someone suggested I might be eligible for WTA as I'm over 60. I sent in a claim and heard nothing so assumed I wasn't successful. However, overnight an amount of £37 WTA has appeared in my bank account which is amazing - and pretty well what I'd calculated I was due per month. I'm so chuffed as this money will make a world of difference to me! Incredibly grateful too!
However, sods law I have been asked to work a few extra hours to cover for holidays etc over the next month so what is the procedure for letting the WTA people know? I've had no letter or anything about this, just the money appearing in my bank, so I'm not sure what to do. The WTA will only be temporary anyway as I get my OAP in January (Yay - more money for doing nothing - when you've worked all of your life, to get money for nothing is seriously fab!!!)
Thanks for any help
EJ

It'll only affect this tax year's claim if your income rises over £10k above last year's. If that's the case, give them a ring. If not don't worry - it's normally best to tell them so they get next year's claim right but if you're not going to be claiming next year then it doesn't matter.0

Thank you, that has put my mind at rest, in fact the letter was waiting when I got home from work and it seems that I have been awarded £83 a month - the £37 was just a part month payment. I'm sure this can't be right so will check it on the turntous website.
If it's correct I am very well off indeed!0
