I am not running the marathon, but just starting off running and have decided to get sponsorship for my first race. I am putting the just giving page address on my t-shirt when I'm training, and also have left sponsor forms at the pub and the gym. I've also asked everyone I've emailed to email other people in the hope that I will get extra sponsors that way. Good luck toyou guys, you have my admiration for running so far!

Good Luck to all of you - Its a fantastic experience - the crowds are great and so supportive as are the other runners. Last minute tips;
1. Rub vaseline on all the parts of your body which are liable to rub whilst running esp nipples.
2. Some of the charities have hospitality tents where you can have a hot shower, massage, food, etc after you complete the run - make use of this!
3. Along the run, take the drinks & energy food at the posts - they can give you a useful boost....or take some energy bars
4. Get some photos of you whilst running and with the medal when you finish - you could try sending these to your local papers on monday with your story and an appeal to readers for sponsorship ... you might strike lucky.
All the Best - you deserve it.
