Microsoft Office Trial ended

Options
Hi all

I was lucky enough to nab one of the deals on laptops earlier this year, now I believe it came with a trial version of Windows 7, as I've tried searching through the minimal bumpf that came with it to see if I got a product code, but don't seem to have one.

Now it appears that my trial has ended and it won't let me do anything other than read my Word/Excel docs. How can I access these and what software can I download free and from a reputable site to allow me to use.

Any advice would be appreciated:D

Of course you meant Office 7! I second the use of LibreOffice, unless you can get Office cheap-ish as a student.
  • LibreOffice is great, but will feel old fashioned if you're used to Office 2007/2010.

If you use Office at work, have a word with your IT people to find out if you can access the Home User Program.

Alternatively, if you're not using the more advanced features of Word or Excel, there's the Office Live online apps from MS. You'll need a Windows Live / Hotmail account to access them. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/office-FX102747940.aspx?CTT=97
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.
But, if the white runs out, I'll drink the red.
