PPI Claim ... Should I start?

Good Evening
Have been thinking about PPI Claim for a while, however hubby says that as we have been on an IVA and only paid back a % of our debt trying to make a claim would just be cheeky.
Have spoken to the IP but they couldnt say if it was worth trying and what would happen to the money if we won.
Between me and hubby we had 43k of debt across 6 cards and 5 loans plus HP for various bits.
Am I allowed to make a claim having been on an IVA and if so where to I start to see if I have a claim.

Write to the creditors with the template letters on this site and as for getting it back the chances are it will go towards any outstanding debt.0

The debt has now been settled, and shows as settled on my credit report are they still likely to want any money towards the loss they made.
going to go through all my old docs as i keep everything, is it just loans or should i be checking credit cards too?:T IVA Completed April 2011 :T
