Boiler replacement cylinder + controller - fair quote?

Without seeing the job it is very hard to say, but generally it sounds v expensive0

Thanks - there is a 3 year old gas boiler. The plumber was called to inspect as no hot water (rental property). They reported that cylinder leak had resealed but at risk of re-leak at any time. Also no independent thermostat on cylinder, so risk of overheating. Therefore recommends full new heating controller. Does that help with deciding if it's fair? Cheers.0

Does that mean they are talking about upgrading a gravity hot water system to fully pumped?, if so it's a good days work and 500 / 600 or so in materials (cylinder, programmer, valve, wiring centre etc).0
