I am switching from npower, they have a woefully inadequate customer service and their on-line facility is crap too. I joined last November, I thought that when I signed up online I was automatically enrolled in online billing - wrong, I phoned them in May to ask when I would get a bill. They took a meter reading off me over the phone. No mention about enrolment. I tried logging into the system for the online account. It is not intuitive. I had to call technical support to help me(I build Software programs for end users!). I finally entered a reading in August, Asked when I would get an updated bill to check my consumption. Told - not until November - Bills only produced twice a year - impossible to monitor . I went online and there is not even a customer record with my meter readings because I did not enrol for online billing until august. They do not even have my start up details. All in all - a pretty poor customer on-line front end service and back end support. They boast that they help you keep track of the bills - not sure how when a reading and data is not available. Scottish Power on the other hand - my experience is the opposite - and it looks like they have a reasonable deal too - so I might move my gas to them as well.0
