Why are you using quick Fit!!!!! All four they'll probably sting you for 200, I'd seriously consider going elsewhere. Who told you you need new pads? If it was them then they are probably embelishing the truth. They will probably also tell you you need new discs. How many miles have you done since they were last done?0

Pads at the front, I could get for about £35, shoes or pads at the back would be about the same.
If a garage supplies them, you could reasonably expect to pay double.
Front brakes should take up to an hour, maybe less, the back could be the same , or up to two hours if the adjusters don't want to move.
So two to three hours at about £40 an hour.
Best price £150, worse price £260.0 -
Kwikfit quoted me £400 for front and rear pads and a rear caliper.
I got front discs and pads, rear pads one rear caliper and an oil/filter change for £330 at
the local garage.
Totally ripoff prices.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

A capable mechanic can do both sides on the front in an hour. Pads are p*ss easy to do, anyone with some tools and know how to take the wheel off can do it themselves!
Rear ones, can be a little more difficult, and can sometimes need a special wind-back tool if it is disks on the back, however just as fiddly if they are shoes as you have springs that need to be pulled into position once disassembled and reassembling. I would also strongly advise you take your car to a reputable garage, use this site (Cant use links as a new user!) so just search for "Goodgaragescheme" to find a good garage local to you.
In total, you should be paying £40 for the front, and anywhere from £40-£80 for the rear + parts.0 -
