Declined for critical illness insurance

I was wondering if anyone can advise me please. Applied for critical illness and life assurance and was turned down by the company for the CI. I was offered 100% loaded life assurance.
My IFA is away and I am not sure what to do. Should I approach another company via the IFA when she returns? I am surprised as although I have had medical issues before, didn't realise they were as severe as this.

The adviser in question could pass your info onto the underwriters of various companies without having to submit an application to see what the answer would probably be. (i.e. if you were looking at this application now and this was what you knew, what would you do). That would probably be the easiest way of doing it.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
