Scroll down the mailboxes on the left. You'll find further down another entry for the same email account and it'll be shown there if there is a SPAM folder. On mine though it just highlights them in the Inbox in a different colour.0

Two questions for you to start with.
1. Which version of OS X are you using? Lion, Snow Leopard etc.
2. What email service are you using with Mail? Gmail, MobileMe, Hotmail, Yahoo etc.
Lion Mail has changed over previous versions so it'll help if we know what version you're running.

Lion Mail isn't that different to Snow Leopard in how it handles spam. It still leaves it in the normal inbox and changes the colour of the title to light brown. However if their ISP automatically filters spam into a folder created by default with the account, ala Hotmail, GMail and GMX, they're going to have to look in that folder.0

Email accounts are handled differently however. IMAP and POP accounts have slightly different settings, and some require configuration elsewhere to "make things work" as they should. Then there's the ISP effect.
For example, Gmail works slightly differently to MobilleMe, so it's always useful to know versions and mail providers being used. It all helps.0 -
Lion Mail doesn't have inbox and sent on the left anyways unless you use the 'Show' option.
Would be helpful if you said what E-mail service your using though - i.e. whats after your username .....@me.com / gmail.com / hotmail etc etc0 -
Sounds like OP may have just set up Mail, and is expecting all previously sent stuff from her email account to appear there. That won't happen for a POP account.0

My imac has a sent folder very clearly. I'm not sure what the system is. mac is 7 years old now, but knocks these stupid PCs into a cocked hat.
I am struggling to get used to a laptop.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
