well considering the information was WRONG then you should see the problem...

there is no grabbit here.. there are plenty of tesco threads it could have gone in..

DTD is and still exists.. its just an excuse SA like to say to get out of paying out...

The OP posted in good faith. The sales assistant could be lying, in which case I hope they have their receipt to report them. Or the sales assistant could be telling the truth. DTD is not going to last forever.

    Tesco-ism..
  • This may not be a grabbit but OP was kindly pointing out the fact that according to the info she was given DTD could be stopped soon...

Who is to know that the SA WAS lying , its perfectly viable that they COULD have received a memo about it especially as T are aware of the milking the system which goes on using the DTD clause! ;) lol
  • I just say that, I automatically put my pin in as the kids were screaming and just wanted to get them to the car, so wasn't paying attention.

I think all stores are made aware as to what department has made a loss or there were losses as I overheard a team leader meeting this morning whilst eyeing up some electricals he did go through each department and call out all the figures, some were in thousands,, the head honcho was NOT impressed at the figures, a woman tried to explain and he raised his voice saying, I DONT GIVE A DAMN ABOUT YOUR EXCUSES, you get paid to make sure it doesnt happen. You better pull your finger out and make sure it doesnthappen again I felt so sorry for her, being publically humiliated in such a way.

Going for the BT 1980 style management then. I shouldn't think HO would be impressed with that kind of carry on. If as a customer I witnessed that i'd have phone HO and complained seriously not on chewing staff out like that.

Not to mention if HO changes a price incorrectly how is that their fault

yes lets ignore the set up of the forum and lets just post anywhere regardless.. will make great for reading.. especially when on my phone and using my data to try and sort through the threads to find whats grabbit and whats discussions..

with regards to DTD.. milking the sytstem?? do you really think tesco loses out because of DTD and a few that play the system ???

for every 1 person that plays the game i will bet you theres at [STRIKE]10[/STRIKE]50 that dont even know about dtd or check there receipts and get wrongly charged...

Not to mention that the ASA(?? ) can fine tesco for every single miss price..

and there bad rep for every one that would found..
  • okay I haven't read through all the posts but I'm guessing I am getting the ney sayers and the this isn't a grabbit posts however , when I went into store the other week this exact cs rep gave me DTD without asking for it, when I disputed the no DTD policy she offered for management to come speak to me until I pointed out that as long as they were advertising it then it would be false advertising not to give it in the eyes of trading standards, now if this is the case then the grabbit will be DTD Which may very well be a limited time offer now so as I said grabbit whilst you can.

I will no further defend the DTD stopping info I have received, fire away til your little hearts are content I am only trying to be helpful and passing on information

there is a tesco thread it could have gone in though..

people get told over and over that they no longer do it, its stopping etc but its still going strong..

ring up HO and ask them if its stopped and see what reply you get then see if it is a grabbit...
