Hello after getting all the info off this great site i sent my filled in questionaire from the financial ombudsman service to LLoyds of london who were the underwritters for first plus at the time of my loan 2001.i got very speedy letter back on 14th july saying they were looking into my case and if i had'nt heard back within 8 weeks call this number so i tried to call this week kept going threw to answerphone then on hold for ages finaly a person who said no dessision could be made on this case as they were waiting to here back from the financial ombudsman on how to deal with these cases.Is this the case or was he just fobbing me off and what do i do next any help greatly appreciated thankyou.

Yes I went through a similar thing with LLoydsTSB, you can wait ages for a decision.

I wish I saw this site when I went through mine but instead went with a company who insisted they can get it done in a short time, in total mine took 10 months to complete, I don't know if it was the company who was playing for time or it was actually LLoyds I don't know, but I wished I would have done it myself instead was stuck with a bill for £463.19 for the service, money refunded was taken off the existing loan, so no money refunded to help pay for this unexpected high bill.
