Help wanted with fraudulent claim against me please
I've had a fraudulent claim for personal injury made against me by a very dodgy, unscrupulous character over a year after the supposed event. My insurance company have been absolutely useless ,. admitted several fundamental mistakes in their procedures and I have made a complaint against them and escalated it to the underwriters who have taken it more seriously fortunately. They have now appointed a solicitors to deal with it but my car insurance is due for renewal next month and my current insurers have told me I have to renew with an open claim against me, (eg get charged a fortune, lose my NCB etc)even though I will probably win. Is this a monopolies issue? Anyone got a similar experience and suggestions please. Thanks v much.

No monopoly, You can choose any insurer you want, No claims will be lost until the claim has been
fully settled. Could take ages...
I had a bump in a lorry and almost 2 years later i had a letter saying i need to attend court. A few days
before the date i got a call, The court dates been cancelled.
I still have no idea who won, I know one thing if you have an expensive car DO NOT squeeze up the inside
of a lorry. You wont come out happy.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
If it settles after your renewal then you can update your new insurer with this information and as that they re-instate your NCB and refund the difference.
Other than that, you're pretty much stuffed, sorry.0
