Friends Provident With Profit Bond

I took out a with profit bond S6 in 2000, and last year the final bonus rate was 0% with no MVA. Friends Provident made an announcement last week about their bonus rates and the WP fund apparently grew by 8% but my final bonus rate is still 0% with no MVA.

Does this mean that I have received no increase at all from the 8% growth? Is there a delay in allocating the bonuses? On the Friends Provident announcement it says overnight effect, so does this mean they have already added any bonuses?

You need to look at the value of the fund. I would suggest you compare your last encashment value with the one before to get an accurate indication of performance. If the return is lower than you would have received in a high interest account then you may want to think about your options.
