Age discrimination - young drivers

I dont think it is so wont be signing.
I have spent my time paying high premiums and for good reason. Now that I have earned lower premiums, I don't see why those that haven't should have their risk passed to me any more than it already is.
I have earned my lower premiums too but now mine are going to go up because of being treated as if I am a statistically worse male driver!0 -
VAX2002 ..... Lol - thats true! What WAS I worried about!0

I think thats everyone - thank you all for your opinions - still cant afford to insure my son who is the most careful young driver I have ever seen!0

b) There are meters/guages that can be added to cars that can monitir average speeds, driving habbits, times of the night/day the car is used etc which would allow an insurance company to lay down stipulations about the usage of the car for the driver.
How would you go about quoting for the premium if you want to moniter it first?
Your son may be the most careful driver you have seen, but how do you know what he is like when he cant be seen by you?0 -
'Fraid not - I am statistically a better driver than a man the same age but I will soon have higher premiums than I do now because of the changes regarding gender discrimination.
Statistically you are likely to have lower cost to the Insurer claims not neccessarily less claims / accidents and also less likely to gain motoring convictions.0 -
Statistically it's probably true women have the most accidents trying to get into or out of parking spaces, so can't actually go anywhere, or go fast enough to have expensive accidents?0

Drivers have to agreed to drive according to particular rules in order to qualify for the lower premium. If the monitoring devices show that they driver is not driving as per the agreed rules eg not driving after 11pm lets say, then their premiums increase.
My son has higher functioning Aspergers - for him the rules of the road are to be adhered to without exception.0
