just moved into flat- trouble switching :(
Options
hi the flat i have moved into is already with dual fuel scottish power, but using the comparison sites on this site it says NPower is probably cheaper based on previous owners usage.
but i do not think i will use as much, and i want to switch to an existing scottish power online tarrif, but it doesnt let me apply because it says i am an existing scottish power member, but i;m not, the flats previous owner is.
slightly unsure as to what to do.
any advice ??

You need to contact Scottish Power and register and ask them to put you on the online tariff. Have you tried doing it through their website? Otherwise you will need to call them.
You are a Scottish Power customer, you inherited the supplier when you moved in. Which company do you think is paying for the gas you have used since you got the keys, and is paying Transco rental for the meter? Even if you wanted to switch to nPower the day you moved in, it would take 4 weeks to go through and in the mean time you would have to pay... Scottish Power.0
