Sent esa form off and still no reply

hi i im being tranfered from IB to esa.they have had my esa form for roughly 5 weeks now is this the normal time frame.as i heard people only waiting two weeks.is it worth ringing or best to wait for the letter to say whether i have got esa or have to go to medical.thanks in advance

Have you contacted them to check they've definitely received your form?
My ESA took about 8 weeks to sort because they requested information from my doctors and it took awhile for them to respond. Though that was a new claim rather than an IB to ESA claim so I don't know if the timescales are different.0 -
I sent my ESA form on 8th June and didn't receive any response until 27th July when I got a letter telling me I would receive ESA from a certain date.
If they received it then I don't think you should be concerned because 5 weeks is not that long. It might be worth checking that they did receive it.0 -
