shuttle from Premier Inn bath Road to T5

We will be using national coach from Gatwick to Heathrow the day before we fly, which terminal should we get off at and then how do we get to Premier Inn, Bath Road?

We have booked Premier Inn Bath Road as we were originally flying from T3, however our flights have been changed and we are now leaving from T5
Is there a shuttle or bus that passes Premier to take us to to T5, or will we have to take a taxi? Any info on costs or times would be useful

Thanks

  • Have a look at the Hotel Hoppa timetables

The Bath Road Premier Inn is on route H8 to/from Terminal 3 and H58 to/from Terminal 5

Fare is £4 each way so if there are more than 3 in your party then a taxi may be cheaper.

There is a local bus between the T123 bus station and your hotel at £2.20 a head - cheaper than the Hoppa. The Heathrow Express then provides a free shuttle to T5.

If you are leaving really early in the morning then the N9 goes to T5 from your hotel - the day equivalent runs a different route

These busses are free for travel around the Heathrow perimiter, but it looks like the Premier Inn is just outside the free zone.

Free travel in the shaded area. Depending on luggage you could get off at the edge of the zone and walk the few 100m to the hotel.

Hi - thread hijack! Signol, that's a very useful link, as I didn't know about the free buses. Saves wasting money on the Hoppa. Stupid question - do we just turn up at the central bus stop and say we're going to Harlington Corner? The map talks about Oyster cards, and I suppose people could even lie about their destination and stay on longer. It just seems too easy... :)

Yes you do just that - including the lying if you wish to run the risk of being caught and receiving a penalty fare, which would more than pay for a taxi:A

I'm a big fan of that site - especially for details of what's nearby the various hotels...we almost always stay at an airport hotel the night before holiday and it's really helpful to know what's in the general area.

    http://www.londontoolkit.com/travel/heathrow_hotels.htm

We always seem to wait for ages for a Hoppa bus to get to the hotel...last time we stayed at the Renaissance which I would probably avoid in the future just due to the long times between the H7 timetable.

    This timetable is more detailed

I did once take the free local bus (found on the londntoolkit site) to the Park Inn and that was OK...but for going to the airport the morning of our flight we prefer to pay the £10-£15 to take a taxi and get dropped off at departures...rather than having to work our way from the drop off area with our cases, etc...it's just not worth the minimal savings to us (I understand that to some it would be)...we did take the Hoppa from our hotel once and were lucky to get on it was so busy - one family with a TON of luggage didn't get on - no room, and 30 minutes until the next one...I couldn't deal with that, taxi please. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
