Hi everybody,
On Saturday I was using someone else's computer to help them type up a book. They didn't have Micorosoft Word so I used Microsoft Works Word Processor. So typed up a bit and saved it.
Came out of it and I noticed it was an Internet Explorer Document. Obviously when I tried to open it wouldn't open. Went into properties and changed it to Word Pad but when it opened it was gibberish.
Tried to open with Microsoft Works Word Processor but got a message saying this file is corrupted. It looked as if it was going but got that message instead.
It's not the end of the world as I'm going to take my laptop round and type it on there instead. Plus the man I'm helping is rewording some of it anyway. I would just like to know what went wrong.
Thank you.

Sounds like you saved it as a HTML document rather than a 'word' document so when you opened it, it was showing all the html code and formatting.0
