Why so long :S
I switched (Through the MSE link to U-switch (I hope reading the threads in the forum) on September 1st to Scottish Power's Fixed 2012, away from Eon's Saveonline2. (1st September was the first date I could switch without penalty).
Now I'm aware I'm probably on the EON standard tariff at the moment, so every day is costing me ££.
Couple of questions - I know it will take till about next June BUT
Is there any way to check I did switch through MSE link to U-switch and so will get the free wines and not just a voucher for 1/2 price wine ?
(I emailed them and asked and they said the voucher will take 3 mths after switching - time it will take is not really my concern).
Also how, what, where, why does it take Soooooo long to complete the switching process. The only thing that I've experienced that is anywhere near the length of time is buying my house (And that obviously takes time for understandable reasons).
Whats so difficult about taking a final meter reading, and then issuing a final bill ?! A credit check can be done in 5 minutes. 4 - 8 weeks ? is not really acceptable any more.

Oh really! how would u propose a way to switch quicker, when a 2 week cooling off period and a 28day notice period to the old supplier are required by law?
Read ur terms and conditions before u come on moaning all over the place.0
