    If they take hope from that figure what do they do when they see the front page of the Express?

    It doesn't imply £25-30k.
    I can't believe you could possibly consider it meaning that.
    By your interpretation, you can get a semi detached property for less than £10k.
    What's all the fuss about house prices then? ;)

    I would presume that any rational peron would understand that these are merely stacked in acending order of value.

    They could of course and maybe should have just used lines, but is it really worthwhile postulating on it and that it could infer a different meaning than what clearly is apparent.
