Buyer wants to measure up before exchange date - is this OK?

If the viewing to measure up is intended as that, then it is positive and fine. If it is something else which is negative, you will lose the opportunity to address whatever issue is bothering them if you refuse.
So no point working out what their motivation is, just treat it as what they say it is and accept it with good will.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
My buyer is coming over later this afternoon with yet another builder. She's getting in quotes so she can build a conservatory as soon as she moves in. Its a pain as you have to tidy up just like you did when it came to viewings but it keeps her sweet! This is her fourth visit in three weeks.
What slightly concerns me (concern for her not me) is that she told me she has ordered furniture. I havent said anything but I hope she knows what she is doing ; anything can happen between now and exchange!Friend Debt: 5,000/3,850

Our buyer did exactly the same - in fact she even took photos of our antique furniture so she could search for something similar, which really concerned me but as we wanted to 'keep her sweet' we felt it hard to refuse. On a later visit she delighted in showing me pics on her phone of the similar items she had located in various antique shops. Even her OH told her she was getting ahead of herself, but she ploughed on, to the extent of ordering curtains to be made for our vast double height bay window which would have been very little use in another house :eek:Mortgage-free for fourteen years!
