Hi can someone help with this please
I complained back in May. Received letters saying they are investigating.
In September received a letter from them saying I had ticked a box on the appication form, which I dont recall and thus rejected my claim. If I had ticked the box it was many years ago and didnt understand what PPI was. the letter also stated they would enter into further correspondance and suggested i ask the FOS.
can someone tell me where i stand on this.
thanks

Hi there
Sorry to hear of the rejection, but you can still give it another go and ask if they will reconsider, tell them your not happy with the outcome of your complaint and strongly believe you were mis sold, give them any further info, and ask if they will get back by 14 days, if you hear nothing, or if they do not change the decision, I would then complain to the FOS.
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

That would be a legitimate reason to reject the claim. If I had ticked the box it was many years ago and didnt understand what PPI was.
Choosing something without knowing what it was would normally be a mispurchase by you, not a missale by the firm - unless you could show the product had been misrepresented.[/QUOTE]0
