Hi.
How does recording multiple programmes to dvd work? Is it just like vhs? Does it remember the last position of the disc and appends to it rather than overwrite it? E.g. Record something at 6pm on Mon then 8pm Tues. Would it create a little menu of programmes recorded? I know it probably depends on the recorder but just want to get an idea....
thanks...

Have you considered a PVR instead, saves money generally as you dont need to buy blank DVDs and they do everythign I think you are asking for0

Yes they do. They can also split programmes over the disk. So if you delete a half hour programme from the beginning and have half hour left at the end of the disk, it will automatically use the 2 parts to record for 1 hour. Depends on the type of disks it uses though. DVD-RAM is by far the most versatile, but less compatabile with standalone DVD players.0 -
I have taped some programmes my dad wanted . they were on for 30 mins a day over a period of weeks and recorded them all onto a dvd seperately but they all came out so guess it doesnt overwrite0
