ESA Migration from IB - Problem

Hi can anyone help me with something
I phoned DWP today to enquire about my IB migration (I have to say Im a bit confused about the whole ESA subject) - when I asked about whether it had been decided what group I am to be in the worker informed me that I would "only be in the Work Group as I did not have a terminal illness"
Now I was led to believe that the Support Group section was not only if you had a terminal illness - I pointed out that on Forums I had noted recently that sufferers of the same illness as myself had stated that they had been put into the support group - he went on to say you will only ever be in Support Group for 6 months any way and then it would be reviewed again - not to take too much notice of Forums as people could lie (sorry Martin Im sure you didnt want to hear that!)
After a conversation about my illness he said that if I could not attend any work focus meetings etc that I "will" be asked to attend not to worry get a letter from your doctor proving that you cant attend and not just me saying I cant and they will happily arrange home visits.
Whilst I appreciate I have not mentioned my specific illness I just wondered as to the ruling behind Support Group Section or Work Group Section - thankfully my illness is not terminal but work would be completely out of the question for a very long time into the future.

Support group is not just for terminally ill people although it does appear to be hard to get into.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

You could well be put in the support group. Ignore what the person you talked to said.0
