Hi,
I am looking into reclaiming back some PPI Charges from HSBC.
The first loan I applied for online but went down to the branch to sign the documents and the lady was pressuirising me. I know were I stand on this one.
The second loan I applied for online in June 2006. Does anybody know if HSBC used pre ticked boxes for the PPI section?
Thanks in advance....

hi
I hope this helps but Halifax have just offered a refund for PPI applied for online.
In 2007 lenders were made to change the online application as it used tickboxes but did not make you aware it was optional
Funny thing is though it was one letter to Halifax but looks like i am going down the court road with RBS for exact same circumstances0 -

Unfortunatly not.
Halifax are auto upholding all complaints whether you have grounds or not. That is not being repeated with other providers. So, you cant use an Halifax payout as indication of rights or wrongs. Chances are you just got lucky because of their backlog and auto-uphold stance.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
