I put a software cd on ebay to sell.
The CD packaging has Not For Resale on it - does that mean I cannot sell it on auction?

depends whats on the disc, for example, if its prerelease music/software then the supplier usually requires the signing or a NDA therefore forbidding sale or duplication.
If its an O/S disc then this may also be in contravention of the eBay or manufacturer license agreement0 -

Its unwanted gift from a comp.
Full blown CD with product key.
Did a bit of searching on google and getting conflicting messages - some saying its the retailers who cannot resell - and not a law banning consumers from selling it on. Retailers being prohibited from selling for profit I can understand but consumers .... not sure. Though technically I was never a consumer if I won it.
Ended my auction early (without bids) just to be on safe side - had some interest in it too :mad:0 -

to be honest, as long as the product is already on the market for others to buy I wouldn't be worried - I would be if its pre-release - more agro than its worth.0
