Groupon Funny Business?

I bought a Groupon
Thanks to your support the deal "£10 Garra Rufa Fish Spa Treatment Plus Orba Cream Treatment For Two People at GarraSpa (£25 Value)" was a success!

Then 2 months later
“£10 Garra Rufa Fish Spa Treatment Plus Orba Cream Treatment For Two People at GarraSpa (£25 Value)” – deal cancelled, refund processed.

We have important information for those of you who purchased this Groupon at GarraSpa. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control this partner is no longer able to redeem Groupons. As a result we have cancelled this deal and issued you a full refund.

And now today (2 weeks later) a new Groupon .......
Garra Rufa Fish Pedicure Spa for Two People for £12 at All Your Life (Value £30)

Was this just a trick to raise the price £2?
With Kind Regards
Nick

  • I have ordered a couple of things like the anti virus and some other stuff and still not got it.
  • I've never had an issue with Groupons but know that often the spas etc get inundated and can't actually fulfill them. Groupon is basically an intermediary rather than the provider of the service - they don't fix the prices or anything that's done by the spa / supplier / restaurant / whoever.

One of the places I got a gropuon for extended the expiry on them as they had so many purchased that they couldn't do all the appointments in the time.

The two pedicures you quote look like they're at different places to be honest - I get at least one offer of a fish pedicure a week through groupon, usually at different places. (Worth a go - weird feeling and tickles!)

Have you contacted Groupon to ask why the original deal was cancelled?

The first groupon was for GarraSpa and the second groupon was for All your Life. Two different places

I have a groupon voucher for All Your Life and I will be going on the 13th October. They seem good.
  • Ah right - thanks. I did look, & it seemed they were the same place, but I didn't look closely enough.

    Thank you for the replies
