BetClic closure of account and personal data

I have just requested that Betclic close my account and remove my data from their systems.
I received a response that my account is now closed but they can not remove my data and will keep it in their system.
My question is how long are they allowed to keep my information on their systems for?

any particular reason why you wanted them to close your account? why not just leave it lie dormant?helpful tips
