Well done to the manager I spoke to on Thursday and Friday last week.

We are getting an engineer at 8:00am this morning Hooray.

Having said that it is 5 past, and no engineer!!!

    :mad:And it gets worse.

A BT openreach engineer did come at 8:20.
Pottered around outside for a while, with me standing in the doorway.

I get a call on my mobile, no-one speaking at the other end. Many Hellos later the phoneline cut off.

He then closes his van and starts to drive off, I stop him.
To cut an absurd conversation short, he wouldn't do the job because on his hand written pad, the address wasn't 100% correct. The fact that my name and number was there meant nothing. He says I need to speak to my service provider.
"but you are my provider, BT",
"I work for openreach not BT"
"but you have BT on the side of your van"
"no you need to speak to your service provider".

Baffled, flummoxed, stunned, irate doesn't even come close.
I wouldn't have minded if it was a print off on the job, not just a hand written note, he could have written anything!!

There was no way he was coming into that building, the fact the he was there, I was there, the line was there he wasn't getting out of his van.

This whole sorry saga is comedy genius stuff but is getting so far fetched that nobody would believe it!!!

go with talktalk for supply and broadband

Hi Bill we found talktalk even worse than BT for customer service. BT took 3 weeks, talktalk 2 months to resolve 2 different problems.

    Thanks David for your response.
I sent an e-mail to the address on the top of page 4 this morning, which seems to have stirred some action, however despite this rather hopeful request which I ended my e-mail on:-

What I would like by close of play today, is for some-one to contact me, on my mobile because our BT line doesn’t work in our office, so we can agree when this sorry saga will be resolved.

I am still none the wiser when this issue will be resolved. I have had some calls but no-one could clarify this for me, but I have little choice than to hope someone will give me a definate answer tomorrow.

I'm absolutely furious i wish I had searched bt before i joined them

I got Everything installed on the 17th Aug yes a meet 9 days ago and so far I had a line fault so phone and internet was unusable because it wasn't on, I was told I could be compensated. Then today ive had intermittant use phoned up to see what was wrong and was told US and gaming sites were unavailable I explained that I wasnt using or trying to use either (facebook worked sure that's American) it was English sites I was trying to access and was called a liar! My partner took over the phone call asked to speak to a manager, was told one would phone us which he did but wouldn't give his name then promtly called a f-ing k**b laughed at him then hung up

It's so slow as well not the super speedy bb I was told it would be

So today we have been called liars and verbally abused on the phone and I still have super slow partially working internet not happy

Oh and was told it had to be a server fault for the sites even though i explained they worked on my phones 3g and virgin and sky and other BT computers that and i own said website so know it wasn't that
