Thanks for the heads up on the 100% free packs OP!! I saw the display for the BOGOF's on the 9 packs of Breakaway but I looked on another shelf and there were a box of 9's with 100% free on a shelf with SEL £2.55! They had obviously been put in the wrong place by an assistant thinking they were the 18 packs (which physically they are, but technically they are 9 packs with 100% free). I took 4 packs of the 9 plus 100% free ones to the checkout and they scanned at BOGOF ... £6.20 - £3.10 = £3.10 for 72 Breakaways!

18 + bogof (another 9+9 =18) = 36

In one way you are correct- they are packs of 18!

There is a double saving on this grabbit:

1. The '9 pack' are on BOGOF .. brilliant!!

2. Some 9 packs have 100% extra free + the BOGOF - even more brilliant!!

If you only have the regualr 9 bar packs + BOGOF = 18 bars for £1.55
If you find the 100% free packs (=18 bars) + BOGOF = 36 bars for £1.55

hi there
i went to tesco to investigate and took 2 packs of 18 to the till - marked as £2 each - to try and see if they were BOGOF
to my surprise they charged me £1.55 for one and £2.00 for the other.
there are 2 barcodes - the one ending in 311 is charged at £2 and the one ending 713 is £1.55 - this is the one that may be going through as BOGOF
back to the shelves i went and typical, only ONE of the £1.55 left, all the rest was newer stock which will go throug at £2.00

So, i dont know if the barcode ending 713 is going BOGOF, but its definetely charging at £1.55

Right, in my store the 18 bar packs of Blue Riband had an SEL of £2. The 9 bar packs were on bogof but no 100% extra free.

However, Breakaways had an SEL of £1.55 bogof and mixed in were 100% extra free packs, so I got 2 of those and went through checkout, and yes it did go through as SEL. So, very pleased, thanks all.

Thanks for this. I hate blue ribband, but love breakaway and so does my sister, so hope i manage to find them in my store later today.
