DVD Player software and cdrw software for laptop?

Can you please tell me if there is any free DVD player software?

Someone has leant my daughter a laptop after hers was stolen and she needs to play dvds on it. It does have a dvd reader and cdrw but no software for either

On the dvd reader softaware are there any that you can rewind and pause etc as it it just a bit easier when shes using it learning her excersize dvd

Se did haver power dvd on the other one but obviosly doesnt have it anymore as the laptop was stolen but that version she still couldnt rewind on it

I understand that you used to be able to download an older version of Nero free from their website. (CD & DVD writing software).

Also, try looking for an older copy of Cyberlink DVD player as they are now on version 8 (I think).
Not sure if it has a rewind facility.
