PPI claims/settlements and debts/arrears

Hello group,

Not sure where to take this, I got on contact with one of the companies advertising PPIlink3.gif claims at the top of the consumer action group forum. I now wish I hadn't.

I filled in forms for 3 credit card fees and 3 PPI claims.

The first said there were no fees, fair enough!

The second refunded £55ish, took it straight of my arrears. (fees claim), leaving me £28 to pay, something that is affordable.

The third, no reply yet.

My worry now is that if I do win (obviously I now wish it won't) the PPI claims will they offset it against my arrears, I am really worried about this as my only reason for claiming this was to attempt to reduce all of my debts and I am more worried that I will end up with new debts because I will have the company's fees to pay as well.

Is there anyway if I win that they would let me pay the fees and offset the rest.

I struggle from month to month and am once again on the verge of tears all the time, just when things were starting to settle, the trap starts all over again.

I spoke to this company this morning and asked why I was not advised that the debt could be offset, the guy just said I don't know.

All they told me at the time was if there were cards with CCJs then the settlements could get used to reduce the amount of debt, I did not claim these although I am aware that they definitely have PPI on them as I knew I would not be able to afford the company's cut. Can I try to make these claims myself?

Thank you
