Preparing for OR Interview

Hi folks, have my interview next Wednesday, how scary it all seems real now. Can someone give me some pointers, as I haven't received my pack through the post yet, what they need at their end ie bank statements (how far back will they want?) do they need evidence of every single bill you have for instance your BT land line phone bill, car insurance schedule etc? Need to start digging all this stuff out which will no doubt take a while. Any pointers?

Hi lala try not worry too much, it will be nowhere near as bad as you think. Usually they request 12 months bank statements and CC statements if you have them. I was able to supply the bank statements but not the CC ones, the OR can get any statements they need from your creditors and will if the think it they are needed. I wasn`t asked to supply anything else apart from these, whether others having been asked for other stuff I honestly do not know:):pB&SC No. 298

Hi
They wanted from me a years worth of statements from banks, credit cards and any loan agreements.
If you are in business they may want to see your accounts.
Any credit cards to be cut up and sent in to the or.
They want to see details of how you got into debt so if you get as much as you can then it will be easier when the interview comes.
Don't worry too much though if you can't find every statement as they will be able to get it direct from the creditor.BSC Member 3510 -
Thanks guys thats helpful, I can now start printing the rain forest of statement lol.
Bit worried about some of the figures I have submitted, groceries for instance and trying to explain the rationale behind my figure, basically it's maybe a little on the high side, and if I cannot evidence it with receipts etc will they throw it out? Also, will they want to see my land line phone bill, as I don't have one. Changed my supplier 10 months ago and they haven't billed me thus far, but I have submitted 11 quid for line rental, lumped in 25 for mobile and 15 internet, think it was 50 in total, will it be ok do you think? Panic panic!0 -
Hey Lala! I had to post all my documents on Friday, they had to reach the OR by the 26th. It was a years worth of statements that I had to post plus some forms that the OR had sent for me to sign. I'm not sure if I'll be called for a F2F interview.
I wouldn't worry too much about providing receipts. If you withdrew for eg £300-500 from an ATM, just put down that you spent the money on grocery shopping. God knows what they will make of my statements. I spent £39.99 in La Senza @ Xmas and when I was going through the statements I wrote ''Underwear'' beside it as they wanted to know what each transaction was lol.

Yeah lol, I'd be sure not to receive an IPA :rotfl:
Do they ask you to write specific categories next to the payments, how did you do it?0 -
Can any of you advise if I need to note what every purchase is on my credit card and bank statements please?? Or is this something that is done in Ireland. Thanks0
-
Unless I'm mistaken I don't think you have to note every single transaction.
I guess if there was a expensive transaction then I would think the or would want to query it.
There maybe some transactions on my credit cards which now looking back I shouldn't have purchased, nothing over the top but they weren't necessary. I haven't heard anything from the OR since my interview so I don't know what they think.:DBSC Member 3510 -
My OR didn't ask for me to do this, just requested copy bank/card statements for the last 12 months. I couldn't provide all of them so just sent what I had access to.
You should receive something in the post soon telling you what your OR needs, just wait until then before panicking about individual transactions. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN
