Hello,

I've received a letter from Compton Group claiming they own my Rentcharge.

They will sell the Rentcharge to me for £100 until Jan 31st 2012.

Whilst I am aware there are covenants on my freehold terrace I'm guessing this allows me to remove them and also any 'rent' I may or may not owe.

Is this worth doing?

Do they actually own my Rentcharge?

If the deeds to your property say you need to pay a rentcharge then you can pay them the amount above or apply to the National Rentcharges Unit to have it redeemed for approx 16 times of the rent.
