help with vauxhall vectra....

having worked at vauxhall as a tech for many years up until 2001 i have seen this fault a few times, coil packs,plugs and injectors were changed to no avail fault on 3 occasions was ECU.
this was on vectra and astra models fitted with the 18xe1 engines.
get a proper scanner put on to extract the fault code then the tech needs to do the relevant checks to diagnose exact cause based on the code.

Exactly the point I was trying to make - that a main dealer mechanic with years of experience is more likely to have a clue what it is.

thank you for all the replies, sorry im only just replying myself but haven't had access to my laptop for a couple of days. well we are still no closer to finding out the exact problem. a few people have asked if i know the fault code, its- P0203 Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinder 3. think i may just have to bite the bullet and take it to a vauxhall dealer
