First post, went shopping this morning and a member of staff told me that Kelloggs Bowls and Crunchy Nut bowls were scanning at 1p, so had a few in my trolley, this was my local store and not sure if its nationwide.
very good 1st post and welcome to the best thread on mse we are all friendly here have you any bar codes
  • Right im off to Mr T's in search of a bargain..... I have had a few nightmare trips recently and have not really had any decent bargains since the terrys chocolate oranges.

I am taking a list with me and have inculded the following questions if someone could help me please.

Baby annabell doll £4.50 instead of £36

Value tent What the price supposed to be, packaging look like?

Guitar hero £19.99 scanning at different price Is this the guitar hero pack or is it a game on its own?

    Grey dressing gown 5052349050257

    Dunkers

Disney blue ray some still have buy one get one free stickers

Kellogs cereal 49p what am I looking for exactly?

Also on the clothes is it the a/w 10 barcodes that scan at 10p 4p etc?? There is no self scan price check things at my store so what is my best chance of finding these deals?

Does anyone else know of any deals/offers I can look out for? Many thanks xx

I will report back any finds....
  • The only problem with having a new thread now is.........

All the barcodes, baragins and pictures of items will be lost in this one :( xxxx

Just found this on the grocery board so thanks guys, don't think the 3 for 2 on this has been mentioned! At this rate I'll definately be making my own mince pies this year!
Jars of mincemeat in Tesco- 20p!!
    not tesco value either!

3 for 2 on christmas baking things, jars of mincemeat 30p, with 3 for 2 its 20p!!

What I mean is the 3 for 2 has been mentioned but not the 30p mincemeat;)
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:

Could I ask a favour of anyone who is going to T's today. If they see the DJ Hero 2 PS3 bundle advertised at £19.99, could they please make a note of the exact wording of the description for me and, if possible, take a photo?

I contacted HO this morning about my experience last night and they said they would have to contact the store and get someone to call me back. The Duty Manager of the store has just called me and told me that he has spoken to the Supervisor and SA from last night and been informed that, although the barcode from the £19.99 SEL matches the product exactly, the wording of the description is slightly different. Therefore, the product must have been put in the wrong place (by a customer of course). When I asked where the space and SEL (£79.99) were for the product I purchased, he couldn't answer me. He also said that barcodes on products have no bearing on prices so whether they match on not doesn't matter, it's the description you have to go by????

Bottom line is, I have had the refund so that's that and even if I hadn't had the refund, that would be all they would offer me anyway.:mad:

    Morning all
unfortunately they only exchange faulty items..and you will only get back the price you paid...

The back of the receipt says "If you change your mind about your purchase, please retain your receipt and return it to the store with the product as sold within 28 days"

I just wasn't sure if I could take it back to my local one. Having tried Tesco cs on facebook, they said it has to be taken back to a Tesco Extra or Superstore. So I shall do that today. :)
