DesperateScousewife wrote: »Many thanks to everyone who has posted pics and descriptions of the reduced menswear. Managed to get some mens rugby trunks, pyjamas, 2 types of rugby socks, and Best Grandad socks...all 4p a pair. Was going like the clappers getting them through the self scan and paying in case I got trouted!
Did u manage to find these at prescot....x0 -
Had a good day at Hul St Stephens, got a trolley full of socks, lounge pants, scarves ladies tights, benny hats, slippers, undies, toy story gift bags and a laundry set. All of the socks were the Rugby socks, scarf was rugby scarf all the rest had been reduced but going through at 4p. Jounge pants not reduced ut still 4p. Daughter went through SS and got trouted with her stash as Lounge pants had security tag on so alerted staff. CSA said sorrry don't think I can sell you this lot as only 4p each, I went to SS with my basket full and he said same thing, so I asked to see a manager who said only reduced stuff could be sold at 4p. I said in that case they had better go and clear the racks as there was loads of stuff left, (by now quite a few interested on lookers) and at this point he relented and said "on this occasion I will let it go through" as he obviously didnt relish the thought of me watching whilst he cleared the racks. I feel like a fully fledged MSEr now. And as for all the bargains, shared out with DS DD and DGS and of course the OH. PS forgot to say I put toy story bags through the SS whilst trout was dealing with daughters bargains. PS still lots left. No rugby shirts though, trout got friendlier after manager approved sale and said Rugby shirts were being sold at 4p yesterday!!!!SPC No. 295 - SPC No10 target £350

The ones that i saw today started from age 2-3years and up to 14-15 yrs, there were three different types of jeans and three or four different top sets - either cardigan with fake shirt underneath in grey with small blue check print shirt, or a dark blue/black striped shirt with a black waistcoat and tie, for the smaller boys a check shirt with fake long sleeved top underneath.
All the jeans i think were marked at £7 and the grey cardigan with a blue check insert was marked at £15 but with the 25% off knitwear it took a further £3.75 off so the complete set cost me £3.25 !!!!! which is great as i was buying them to take to India with me at christmas as gifts for the boys who work on the beach - so im sure they will be happy and im over the moon with what i paid for them.
Hope this helps xxxx
am i being stupid (DON'T all rush to answer yes!!)
I don't get how a 25% discount off the jumper makes the set £3 something
are you including the £5 off clothing voucher into the equation???
does it work out £3 still if you haven't got a voucher:(:(:(:(
I didn't buy the set after all your help (thanks for all your help robertsgirl it was appreciated but shop was closing and i couldn't find the right jeans AND my sis was with me and decided to use the 2 £5 vouchers which were hers on a coupls of kids coats instead as they expired today)[/QUOTE]
Its taking 25% off the original £15 price for the top so
25% off £15 = £3.75
£7.00 for the set - the £3.75 discount = £3.25 for the set
i haven't got as far as reading any further so if someone has already told you this please ignore me and if no one has told you i hope this helps xxxVery proud to be Strip club member No 430
