I posted earlier about the nuts, not tried them yet, may pop back and get more for Xmas tomorrow
I got a couple of the spicy nuts. Quite nice too.
The DAB radio was there but SEL had been removed so no good. SEL on scales had gone too. I did get a couple of the peg sets.
Plenty of whoopsied meat tonight but I only bought one item. A 2.4kg silverside joint down from £20 to £5. Loads of boneless half leg joints of lamb for around £1.50.
On there are 3 of the stickered knife sets in there too. I opened one and thought the quality was pretty crap so decided that even with the DTD that £8 a set was not worth the bother. I'll keep my eyes on the prestige and sabatier ones instead just incase they come down to silly prices.
Found the DAB radio in another store but scanned at 20 odd quid so no good. Also found the twin dvd sets with SS10 on them and they now scan at £50 so hid one away in case I get lucky in a week or two.0 -
MrsBartolozzi wrote: »That's quite scary as I'm sure it is against the data protection act and what Tesco are allowed to do with your credit card details. For instance, what if the member of staff left the number lying around? You could have your identity stolen/ things ordered on your account. They are only allowed to retain cc details for the purpose in which you gave them (to pay for goods).
I remember reading through lots of small print that was posted on MSE a couple of years ago (I think in relation to R&R) including that they were in breach of the T&Cs if they retained your info to "keep an eye on you".
Not certain, but I believe they can retain certain information on you such as CCTV footage but only for a limited time. Practical limits on storage probably mean that it is wiped sooner but again I don't know that for certain. (My speculation). Under the Data Protection Act you can of course make a formal request to see all written data and CCTV footage on payment of a small fee.Awaiting a new sig0 -
what a dilemma,
Have only just caught up on this thread after a week away from mse (partly because of a visit to FIL and partly because OH is p'd off with my shopping addiction) I think I've managed to write all the stuff to look out for in my notebook but whats the deal please with the lasagne sheets ?
Have been suffering withdrawal as not been to Ts for 10 days and having read how well so many have done and missing the TCO and smarties etc I NEED a bargain.
OH asked what I would like to do on my Birthday (today) dare I suggest a shopping trip when he gets up in the morning hmmmm Well he did ask and offered to take me out and it would make my birthday money go furtherand it is my day
and I've been good and not asked for a lift to Ts for 10 days
and ....... wonder how many reasons I can think of in the next 8 hours.
Oh dear maybe I need help with my addiction, does anyone else have dreams of Ts shopping trips ?0 -
I think it was you who said at some stage DTD will be phased out - this is my main reason for not contacting Head Office about my ban - I wouldnt want my case to be the straw that broke the camels back so to speak, and T decide to scrap DTD as its too much hassle!
I can't remember the discussion context now, but I don't think I thought DTD will be phased out. If I remember correctly it was that I wouldn't be surprised if it were altered in some way. Perhaps a Tesco voucher for the double part of DTD for example? Having said that nobody believed that R&R would be phased out when someone from Tesco posted a heads up on these threads. Lot's of people threatened to report every overcharge to Trading Standards but I don't know if this happened. Anyway if they did it made little difference.
Think you are wise not to contact HO but at the end of the day it's your choice. Try to put it behind you, write it down to experience and get on with life:D. There are worse things in life to worry about than a Tesco ban.:)Awaiting a new sig0 -

Good morning all
Dont forget the £5 off £40 voucher in todays Sun - its valid until 4/110 -
Really looking forward to finding out Mr T's reply to this.... got trouted tonight on 2 x 4p items at Ippy rd, Narr1ch..... Wasn't a complete wasted journey as did get quite a few whopsies, but was gutted about other items!!!!
I find it stange that they are refusing them. When I went to the £1 sale, the SA saw me looking through, I asked if they had any boys clothes and she said she wasn't sure as they were still going through, then she said we have some mens swimming shorts and tshirts over there reduced to 4p. They weren't great designs, but for 4p, so providing the clothing staff are checking the items they are meant to be then they would know that this is the correct price. I don't think it is an error?0 -
 Good Morning everyone . Have a Good Day .Never pay more than you have too0
