  • Songbird1. In addition to QPRanger's valid question, I would like to ask what you want people to do about it now? Take the smarties back for a refund? We had this a few weeks ago with the Terry's Chocolate Orange saga (TCO's for the newbies), please please don't let us go back there again:o

New Stella glitch in EXPRESS store not sure if works in any others.

Stella Artois triple filtered 4 pack 4% (silver can).

    2 @ 3.98 =£7.96

    Beers 2 for £6.00 - £1.96
    Beers 2 for 7£/ 3 for £10 - 98p
    Total savings £2.94

Amount to pay £5.02 which is just under 63p a can.

    Go get em
Back to square one, no apg, no comment.

FINALLY got some glitches, after lots of wasted journeys! Finally found the plenty. The SA on checkout pressed her bell immediately to alert someone to the low price, lest I bankrupt Tesco! Found 1 casserole dish with right barcode, been looking for ages but thought I was looking for the 1.25l not 1l! No impulse though.

No smarties or aero at tesco exp still, I know the manager of another branch who said they have been told to remove them from sale.

Pleased I finally found some bargains! I'm in MK.
  • ahhhh....hence the name! [ahem], how well do you 'know' this somebody then? ;)

Went to Gi££ingham extra for food shopping and not looking for any bargains. Checked receipt and B1G2F offer not kicking in on Aquafresh (multi-action +whitening) 100ml. Paid 3 @ £2.55 so got DTD back at £10.20 :)

Re the plenty the four pack is on the shelf at my local big store for £3.00. The get two free 4 pack = 6 rolls were on the top shelf to the right AND left but carefully placed so the "two free yellow stripe" wasn't showing. Had the staff hidden them ?

I got a tall man to get some down, asked a sales assistant to scan them as I was sure they were cheaper, went through as 1.84 each. HTH

I bought 12 packs of 5 pack smarties and some of the aero bars. We all have families to share our finds with, i share out with my mum who passes them along to brother and family etc. I am also a primary school teacher so certain glitches benefit my school or class. With Halloween and Xmas coming I am sure we all want to stock up with cheap sweets to keep the cost down.

Let's not get bogged down with who gets how many and just enjoy the glitches, we all know whoever gets in first gets first dibs, lol.

Its hard but best to ignore any posters who have higher morals than us lot of 'cottagers' (dtd price promisers will get the cottagers reference, lol)

I should add the most of any glitch I've got is six but if other posters want more its their choice I have no problem with that, if my MSE friends don't clear the shelves someone else will

To some extent I agree; if there is a DTD it's a one chance only event, you get what you need and the SEL comes down, but when there's a glitch it's good to share - I've even shared with other shoppers when I'm buying things on a glitch! Buying by the case is just plain greedy. Maybe they work for Tesco? I can't imagine taking a case of anything but wine through the checkouts.

Of course they are not going to take it back, and I have no wish to get into arguments. I'm just curious as to what drives people to do this? No family NEEDS this amount of Smarties. So I can only conclude that it's for financial gain at the expense of their fellow MSEers.
