As you can all see I've been catching up & answering things that have been answered.
Went to see "The Help" preview tonight courtesy of the cinema codes thread, I knew roughly what it was going to be about & thought I'd like it, I didn't & it seemed way too long.
On way went into a Mr T's new to me but didn't have much time, it was wierd, next to the veg was electricals didn't even have time to find the Plenty. But if there are any major glitches I can make a detour there next time I go to football.
On way back got off bus at Hammersmith Bus station & there are shops underneath, went in Tesco Express to womble, nothing there but as I walked to my exit there was a pub and its name...THE TROUT I did have a little chuckle to myself.0 -

Evening, everyone:wave:
Out of curiosity (with the poll in mind) I looked at the last page of the Grabbit board and discovered posts for Asda, Co-op, Aldi, Morrisons, M &S and Tesco. This was from 16th January 2009.
I then looked at the last page of the Food Shopping & Groceries Board and found posts from 2007!
If you look at the first page of the FS&Groceries Board though, there are now more posts asking food and/or shopping related questions.
Interesting, eh:cool: Incidentally, why don't MSE just remove the older pages (eg. anything over 3-6 months old) on boards like Grabbit?
On the other hand I do think that some threads are over used and spreading things out a bit under a rethink of thread headings/focus might be worthwhile. Reading between the lines of some MSE posts suggests to me that a closer look at what is happening on the grabbit boards is underway. I could however be talking toshAwaiting a new sig0 -

I knew it would happen again!
I came on to post something and got engrossed with reading catch up posts whilst watching TV and having something open on mse a million miles from this thread.
I posted a comment/question late last night that may have been missed when people catch up on the previous days posts and are just looking for the latest glitchs etc. On the other hand it may be that I'm teaching my granny to suck eggs.
Anyway here goes. I've noticed that many people on this and related threads have not been registered members for that long and that some people post that they've got active DTD and talk about associated clubcard points. In the days of R&R it would have been considered extremely foolhardy to use a Clucard or Tesco Credit Card.
I can't see any DTD guidance that mentions this as it used to with R&R. Is it considered then no longer a problem with DTD or do people just not realise the possible consequences:eek:Awaiting a new sig0 -
Not sure how good this is but I got a Stanley 19" toolbox with bonus 12.5" toolbox for £7 yesterday in my local Extra. Website shows it as £14.99. Only downside is no internal tray but it should store all the cheap tools me & dad have been collecting for my very first toolbox :rotfl:

If you are happy with the price that you've paid for something that does what you wanted it to then it's a good price. Know where you're coming from though as it might make a good deal for someone elseAwaiting a new sig0 -
I am so excited, not had any decent treasure hunts for almost a week, but have managed to talk the OH into one of our amazing multi-Extras county crossing missions tomo evening! I'm setting up an action map!
I'm missing the 90% madness that was falling off the shelves a few weeks back, but I'm convinced theres more out there, just in the stores I haven't 'hit' yet! lol0 -

Must have missed your other post but just quickly before I retire for the night, using your clubcard for DTD is a dicey one. I used to use it but with some of the biggies I "forgot" my CC and never got the points added on. Other times I think sod it, what have I done wrong when I was feeling brazen. Most of my recent DTDs have been pennies in comparison to some of my previous ones so I use my CC regardless now. £3 worth (without doubling or tripling) of CC points for the Denby was too much to lose out on and every little help!
These days most of the Tesco issues seem to be misprices in which case using the CC takes valuable seconds whilst trying to beat the record for scanning pots of custard through a SS till and not getting caught :rotfl:
Trying to remember the name of the infamous Tesco bloke from HO who would phone people during the night back in the days of R&R. Kevin was it? That's the kind of hassle I don't need but then again, my clubcard isn't registered to my home address (see previous posts on marital issues. I had been using the ex's card for years so got my own one and made sure nothing could be redirected to his new address).0
