  • Persuaded OH to go to T's today after having a browse at a market...'since we're in the area anyway...':D...

    Found a T's meat thermometer for 9p and this - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001DYPYHQ/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=&seller=

(Don't know if that link'll work - never tried it before). It's a dynamo LED torch in the shape of a pig, penguin or cow -43p. Barcode ends 533954.
Since my locals never restocked during the battery glitch, this might come in handy!

    edit- ooh link worked

Caz, sorry i dont mean to pry, but if you get benefits as you said then are you not entitled to legal aid? I cut diwn my costs by writing everuthing down and emailing my solicitor and barrister, im a chatty sort so used to forget time was my money and it soon added up. My solicitor also agreed to email me rather than charging the £30 etc. Just a thought!

  • Zubbers SEL 60p in my store!

Also picked up some Disney Princess mini Aquadraw mats (no SEL) 70p each, are these common knowledge? The Cars ones scan at £3.50 :(

Promise I will post the mini transformers b/c tomorrow, and pics of the Disney 10p gift wrap if I can work out how to upload a pic without hosting it. I'm in my studio now so can't do it.

I love this thread, thanks you guys:D

    Selfish - no.
Being treated like carp by your Ex - that's why you want to be thinner even though you have someone that by the sounds of it loves you for you. I have no idea if I'll ever find someone else especially after the last 6 years of my life being such a lie but some day I will meet someone ....... if I can ever venture away from Mr Ts!!!

My OH is the best thing that has ever happened to me - he accepts me totally for who i am, he knows all my shortfalls and supports me 100%, he obviously drives me nuts sometimes and i know i do the same to him but hey ho we cant all be perfect all the time. He never tells me what to do or when - if i want to do something i do.

When i was with my EX he said i would never get anywhere in life or achieve anything in my life, in a way he did me a favour as i attended college and got a psychology A level, then got my self a part time job as a barmaid - which isn't a top notch career i hear you say, but i really enjoyed it - so took it further and got some training under my belt and got a national licencees certificate and from there got myself a pub managers job and eventually managed to save enough of my own hard earned money and bought my own pub. Not the bricks and mortar but the tenancy, i carved out a really good living for me and my son - as obviously my OH didn't pay me maintenance - surprise!!

I gave it up 10 yrs ago when the drug culture where i was came knocking on my door and nearly had my son in its grasp and have since moved. I have bought my own home (with a mortgage, not cash) and now still find myself enjoying a fairly good standard of living which is helped immensely by MSE.

So yes there is life after an EX and im living proof of it, be strong and think of your future as you are a much stronger person when you have been through a load of carp and you WILL come out of it stronger and a better person and there will be someone around the corner waiting for you, just give it a bit of time and don't rush it and love will come knocking on your door and you and your lovely kiddies will have a future to look forward to.

You never know he might be waiting for you in the nest aisle in Mr T's

Caz, sorry, dont mean to pry but if you get benefits as you said, then arent you entitled to legal aid? I m a bit of a chatterbox so calls to my solicitor soon mounted and sometimes forgot time was my money! I started to write all my q&cs down then email and he agreed not to charge me £30 for letters. Git responses a lot quicker and saved a lot of time. If they want your money make them earn it!

They were in the camping aisle. It's the type with a bit coming out the side and you press it repeatedly in your hand to get the dynamo going. Works well enough.
I gave one to my two year old and he loves it, even though his little hands are only just big enough to make it work.
