they were definitely scanning cheap yesterday I left plenty of each on the shelves, Camb@rme hasn't replenished today either so think it's over, but at our extra today they did have £1 Disney princess and cars art sets for £1 and Disney princess mini aqua draws (no sel bottom shelf under girls creative toys next to barbie shelf) which are 70p.
I see the vanilla shower creme has gone up to 25p now too.
Did you get any Pantene at all?
no i didnt manage to get any of the pantene but i was only trying to get a couple for a friend as my hair is really blonde and so i wouldnt want to chance using it and something disasterous happeneing.
thanks for the info on the cars and disney art sets and aquadraw though. were the art sets actually labelled at £1? and are they down the art aisle? i am coming to you from now on to find all these bargains as you seem to be totally on the ball. i never find any bargains by myself.:j0 -
Hi All,
im looking for a bit of DTD advice please.
Went to a Ts today, and noticed a Tescos 'go Cook' knife block set with a red 3 for 2 sticker on. - there was also a Yellow SEL below another 'go cook' product (lemon Juicer) which stated on one half of the SEL the price of the Juicer, and on the other half, the 3 for 2 offer stating on 'selected cook and dine products'...
now for some reason, i knew that this was a good oppertunity for a DTD.... so i took 3 of the knife block sets... hoping that the 3 for 2 wouldnt kick in.... the SEL below the knife sets was £31 something BUT there was a sticker on ONE of the knife sets.....
went through the checkout, and low and behold, i didnt get the 3 for 2 offer...but did get charged a lower price of £25.00....anyway, so off i trundle to the CS....
explained the situation to the CS and they said that they would refund the one knife set, i mentioned that i am entitled to DTD as i had been overcharged as i knew the knife sets were reduced to £25.00, but as the sticker stated, and the SEL under the juicer, i was under the impression it was 3 for 2 aswell...but the lady said that she 'wasnt comfortable' honouring the DTD as there was only one sticker on one of the boxes......
i explained that in their poilcy on the wall behind the CS that even if it states on the product, that i am entitled to DTD..... she still refused so i asked if the manager was available.... she said that he wasnt until tomorrow.. i asked if i was able to call Head office to confirm the DTD policy... and off she wandered...
about 10 mins later, she returned with a duty manager, who also said that she wouldnt give the DTD as the SEL was for a different product.... but would offer a refund.... i again explained the policy to her and she still refused... saying that the sticker was from an old promotion and that one of the boxes must have been missed out when removing the stickers.....
i asked if i could call head office from their phone.. she accepted, so i called HO....
i started to explain to the man on the phone and then the Duty manager took the phone off me and told him that it was a peelable sticker and was on only one of the boxes and that the SEL didnt relate to the offer anyway (which, in my oppinion, it did as it said 'selected go cook items') - the man from HO then said that he would leave it up to the manager of the store.........
I didnt get my DTD, or a refund, i said that i would return tomorrow to speak to the proper manager who was unavailable as he had gone home.....
can anyone help me on where i stand on this please... when i return tomorrow, i would like to go in, full of knowledge and knowing exactloy what my rights are...
thanks in advance, and well done for sticking with my post - i know its a long one! xxx:AProud Mummy to a new little girl - Phoebe... born 11 days overdue on 3rd Jan 2012.0 -
This is them - im so raging - I had one in purple, blue , green and yellow ! And they refused ! I really stood my ground too and held up a big queue and still got taken ! !!!!!!s:mad:If anyone has a barcode for these I think i will be phoning CS !
My hubbie would kill me if he knew - he already thinks im a nut and won't be seen in tesco with me ! Even for a normal shop ! He thinks they'll all be talking about me lol:rotfl:Single crescent moon shaped pack of Moon Dough - green pack from memory?
Found a pic:
These scanned with the staff handheld scanner at £1 in my local but came up not on file at the till. After some umming and ahhhing the checkout manager said that as I'd been told the price they'd sell them.0 -
For all those worrying about using the Pantene on any hair colour other than brown, My OH is grey, im brown (we have a 20 year age gap - hence the different hair colours) and he used it the other day and unfortunately is still just as grey lol!0

Not sure if they're in the spare room stash or attic stash but I'll try and get you a barcode over the weekend. I got them in bl00mfield b@ngor if it helps you. They had loads of RTC stuff (no wonder if you see how little the store has now in the way of toys) and I asked the girl to check the price as they were only just sticking out the SELs. She used the handheld price checker and told me £1.0 -

well, I have to admit it's a hard one... I wouldn't try it myself unless someone challenged me...
BUT what I'd do is: call HO now or tomorrow morning before you return to that store and see if a different person doesn't award you dtd... try 2-3 times until successful...explain everything exactly how it was and in case they say yes request a ref number and that they call the store in question on your behalf...
If not you can still try with the other manager and if not just get a refund...
It would be better if at least 2 of the sets had the sticker on... oh well, I hope you get it anyway...0 -
Hmmmm on the reduced to clear section in my local there has been some Blanx toothpaste sat there for probably a month. It has the little discontinued star in the corner of the SEL and about once a week I scan it but it is always £6.
So today I did my weekly scan and it was £7.99!
Ok so I would get DTD but it would still make it £4 which isn't that great. My point is, shouldn't discontinued items go down in price lol.
Another one i'm watching is the Garmin Forerunner watch. This has been on the reduced section for months but has never changed from over £100. Is there a certain length of time that has to elapse before prices are lowered?0
